The Norwegian interacting partner with Euro-BioImaging
Facing the rapid technological development in the field of medical imaging, the Norwegian imaging community has long seen the need for national-level collaboration. Nor-BioImaging was established in 2011 to provide access to equipment and competence to imaging technologies, and to be the national interacting partner with Euro-BioImaging.
Euro-BioImaging
Euro‐BioImaging is a large‐scale pan‐European research infrastructure project on the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) Roadmap.
The mission of Euro-BioImaging
- To create a coordianted and harmonized plan for biomedical imaging INFRASTRUCTURE deployment in Europe.
- To provide ACCESS, SERVICE and TRAINING to state-of-the-art imaging technologies
- To foster the liason and COOPERATION of all stakeholders
Norwegian Euro-BioImaging Node Candidates
Two research nodes in Norway, one molecular imaging node (Norwegian Molecular Imaging Infrastructure; NORMOLIM) and one advanced microscopy node (Norwegian Advanced Light Microscopy Imaging Network; NALMIN) responded to the first open call for trans-national nodes from Euro-BioImaging.
The Expression of Interest’s was favorably ranked and formalized the intent of the high-impact research infrastructures in Norway to become fully participating nodes in Euro-BioImaging. The candicate nodes are currently being established.
